INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY

Our firm consists of two principals, three vice-presidents and a support staff of architects and computer technicians.  Our office is located in Henrico County in suburban Richmond, VA.

Since the inception of the partnership of Budina and Freeman Architects in 1955, the office has been in continuous practice.    Early work centered on A.O. Budina, FAIA, who had worked under Holabird and Roche, Louis Sullivan and John Eberson in Chicago during the arly 1900's.  Horace Freeman AIA continued the operation of the practice after Budina's retirement in 1972.  In 1975, he and John Morgan formed the partnership of Freeman & Morgan Architects.  In 1982, the firm became a Professional Corporation with Jack Shady as Principal.  Since that time, Mr. Shady has been named President of the firm with John Morgan as CEO and Senior Partner.

Our firm provides design and consulting services to clients locally, nationwide and internationally.  Freeman & Morgan has provided services in 30 states plus Canada, England, Japan, Kuwait and the West Indies.

Over the years, our firm has gained a reputation for excellence in design, project management, budget control, value engineering, construction administration, and client satisfaction while successfully completing large and small projects on time and within budget.  Currently, 95% of the firm's commissions are from repeat clients.
